Moira Dela Torre took on many leaps of faith in her young life and has never been sorry for these.
The singer spoke about how her life has changed drastically over the past three years, and how she has experienced “miracles,” as per her Instagram post yesterday, Sept. 27.
“I took this photo [three years] ago w/ this caption. [Three] years later, a career happened, I got engaged, I got married and we bought our first home,” she recalled. Her post showed the photo of a mug and a Bible.
“I remember my [second] month there, I had no idea where I was gonna get the money for rent. But God always provided. Down to the last cent. Down to the last minute,” she said.
The singer believes that some things that happen in our lives may not look like breakthroughs, but they are actually “important [parts] of the story.”
“Sometimes the answers to our prayers doesn’t look like what we pictured in our heads, but if you let the story develop just a little longer, you’ll see that it’s even better. These are the moments I hold onto in times like this when all is uncertain, I am reminded that one thing will always be sure: that I will never go wrong in trusting a faithful Father,” she said.
Dela Torre recalled moving to Manila eight years ago and “dreaming of having her own home.”
“I couldn’t afford it then but thankfully, family opened their doors for me and I’ve lived with them (for free! Hi Stephen Mayen Ammie Boyet) since,” said.
Very soon she was praying for her own home. What she was asking for was an accessible condo, in a convenient area, one that allowed pets and that fits her small budget.
To her surprise, she got what she prayed for as “He provided exactly that.” She moved in the next day.
“God showed me, once again, than when He provides, it is always perfect, complete and lacking nothing,” she said. “Sometimes, it doesn’t feel complete, sometimes it doesn’t feel perfect but He is always faithful and His plans are always perfect and for our best.”
“Today, I sit on my very own bed in my very first home ever, fully content and still in shock,” Dela Torre added. “I had been waiting for this, dreaming of it rather… and today I realize, all I really had to do was ask.” JB
