Celebrity mom Chesca Garcia-Kramer expressed her excitement upon getting hold of her recent tableware purchases – a set of wooden plates and bowls that she decided to use it immediately.
“I was able to get a nice set of wooden plates and bowls from a local seller in Dapitan (at an affordable price) and couldn’t wait to use it, so I thought, why not make another #PlateDate?” she said on her Instagram page yesterday, July 21. She also shared a video of her table preparation and showed the wooden bowls and trays bearing her family’s favorite Filipino viands such as munggo, galunggong and barbeque.
She also used already-existing items from her kitchen and added these to the spread, such as a chopping board as a veggie display board, and an empty spread jar as a vase for the fresh flowers from their garden.
“You can also use a nice flat stone to place the serving spoons on, just make sure to wash it thoroughly,” she advised.
Garcia also proudly revealed she did the embroidery on the table napkins. She added that families do not need to wait for “big celebrations” or “lots of visitors to set up the table nicely.”
“Just the company of your loved ones will do, and it’s an instant bonding time over classic, hearty Pinoy food,” she said. JB
