MANILA, Philippines — The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will reopen its doors this November, after more than a year of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Its reopening would come with the screening of the documentary film “A Thousand Cuts” by director Ramona Diaz about veteran journalist Maria Ressa, in celebration of her winning the Nobel prize.
The free showing of A Thousand Cuts will be on Friday, November 5, at 7 p.m. at the CCP’s main theater Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo.

The series of special screenings will also feature “Team Filipinas” about Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, and “On the Job: The Missing 8” starring actor John Arcilla, who bagged the Volpi Cup for Best Actor award in the recent Venice Film Festival for his portrayal of the character “Sisoy Sales,” a corrupt journalist, in the celebrated Erik Matti film.
