Albie Casiño felt no pain after his first failed relationship, he said, because it was amid a time of controversy.
The actor made the candid admission during the online press conference for the YouTube series, “How To Move On In 30 Days,” last March 30.
“Nu’ng time na ‘yun, parang first relationship ko, so parang wala pa akong alam on what’s going on. Nu’ng time na ‘yun, wala akong time para masaktan ang puso ko,” he said. (During that time, it was my first relationship so it’s like I don’t know anything about what’s going on. That time, I don’t have time to be heartbroken.)
“There’s too much things going on in the news,” he added. “It has taken my attention away from the heartache so medyo hindi ko talaga naramdaman ang sakit sa puso (so I didn’t feel the pain too much).
What he was referring to was his past relationship with actress Andi Eigenmann.
“[About] Andi, I was basically over that the next day [because] there were so many things going on that I can’t concentrate on the breakup,” he said.
But now, moving on from a relationship for the actor will take more time, because it all depends on how long the relationship lasted before the breakup.
“‘Yung last relationship ko was in 2019 pa. Hindi ko alam kung totoally naka-move on na ako kasi hindi pa ako ready na magka-girlfriend uli, eh. Ako, matagal ako mag-move on talaga. Thirty days, impossible sa akin ang 30 days,” he said, referring to the series of his series.
(My last relationship was way back in 2019. I do not know if I have totally moved on because I am still not ready to have a girlfriend again. It takes me a long while to move on. Thirty days would be impossible for me.)
Casiño does think that the ability to move on faster would be good, and heartbreak should be bearable with simple steps such as lying down and listening to sad songs.
“Eventually, day by day, life gets better,” he noted. “I never really want to forget totally everyone who’s been a part of my life because I am the person that I am now because of everyone I was able to interact with. I don’t forget.”
“How To Move On In 30 Days” will also be aired on the Kapamilya channel starting today, April 4. It also stars Maris Racal and Carlo Aquino. JB
