One’s inner travel bug usually has its own compass: it brings you to new places or even back to old ones. After many years of being at home and being in new cities, it may take a while before one may get used to traveling again. To an extent, it may even feel like traveling for the first time!

Pau-Pau, foodpanda’s free-spirited panda bestie, is here with five things you shouldn’t ever forget before going on a trip –with a couple of tips to save up on some essentials.

  1. Plan your itinerary

Probably the most obvious one in the list is to make sure you have everything in order. It’s important to list down all the things you want to do during your trip, plot when you’re going to do them, and arrange the necessary hotel accommodations and transportation. Some can go rogue when traveling solo but planning an itinerary would be best when traveling in groups or with family to make sure you get all the things done in your to-do list.

If you’re still looking for trips to plan, you may start by visiting Pau-Pau’s photobooth this May. It will be available in select Ayala Malls so you may pick which mall is nearest to you.

  1. Bring food

Bring food

While most travel destinations will likely be sprawling with restaurants and dining options, it isn’t the case all the time. Wherever you may be traveling to, bring snacks in your carry-on or check in luggage. It’s better to be safe and not go hungry when your flight gets delayed or while waiting during a layover. In any case, it’s great to have a snack to munch on for those late midnight cravings while adjusting to the new time zone.

If traveling in the Philippines, there are a couple of local faves in the sweets and desserts department. The foodpanda app currently has a 20% promo on select vendors like Koomi, Frutas,  Soy & Bean, Dairy Queen, and BLK513 when you choose pickup.

  1. Pack summer essentials

Apart from the health benefits of putting on sunscreen, it’s recommended to have a handy sunscreen in your luggage wherever you may go. Whether you had plans to go dipping in the pool or not, it’s good to always be ready. Pack those summer essentials like your go-to bathing suit, creams, and that new yet unused sunhat you got from way back –the scorching hot weather is calling for it.

In case you’re scrunched on time, you can buy your summer essentials online through the foodpanda app. Use the code “PAYDAY530” from May 28 to 30 to enjoy 20% off for a minimum spend of P599.

Also watch out for Pau-Pau’s birthday this June. If there’s anything that should remind you of summer, foodpanda’s loveable pink panda is definitely not one to forget!

  1. Prepare pet food (for those with furbabies)

Furbabies

If you have pets living with you at home, prepare pet food and stock up for an amount enough to last for the duration of your trip. Furbabies deserve our love and attention and whether you’re going away for a long or short trip, make sure to have their favorite treats ready so they’ll still feel your love even while you’re out.

  1. Stock up on home items

Stock up on home items

You might be thinking why this is important. Well, it’s better to be ready with things you’ll be needing when you get back to avoid immediate trips to the supermarket. After a long trip, you will need some rest and unpacking will take at least a couple of hours to get everything back in order. It’s good to have your home items ready before your trip so you wouldn’t have to stress about it when you get back.

Then again, if you’re craving to relive that quick summer getaway, foodpanda has an ongoing  promotion for your favorite treats. Use the code “TAKEOUTNA” to get an extra P60 off on orders above P399.

There are also other promotions you may want to catch: use “HELLOPAUPAU” to get P100 off for a minimum  spend of P299, “HEYPAUPAU100” to slash P100 off for a minimum spend of P299, or “PAUPAUCITY100” to have  P100 off for a minimum spend of P299.

Discover other ongoing promotions by downloading the foodpanda app and watch out as Pau Pau turns things to pink in the coming months.
