More and more people are looking to go out, bask in the sun and explore local destinations now as we safely go back to normal. In the past months, adventure tourism has grown in popularity, as it brings excitement to explorers-at-heart by allowing them to step outside their comfort zones. Indeed, after being cooped up in our homes in the last two years, isn’t it high time that we seek new and exciting experiences in the great outdoors?
Now, if you’re inkling for a dose of adventure tourism this Independence Day (June 12, Sunday), look no further than Alviera’s EXPLORAC Experience in Porac Pampanga. Short for “Explore Porac,” the EXPLORAC campaign offers visitors unique outdoor experiences for all ages in the 1,800-hectare estate of Alviera—one of the country’s largest integrated mixed-use estate by Ayala Land and Leonio Land.
This Alviera adventure takes one to a whole new level with a Fun Historical Ride and a Race—the first-of-its-kind to happen in the estate. This weekend event is done in partnership with Department of Tourism and the Porac LGU.
The Fun Ride is 49-kilometer exploration tour of the estate with nine stops that highlight Porac’s rich history and natural wonders.
Get to see the beautiful Chapel of the Virgin of Sorrows and marvel at the Acacia Centennial Tree as you pedal from one stop to the next. It’s a fun route where you can familiarize yourself with Porac’s historical, tourist, business and lifestyle destinations.
The Fun Race race will run a two-lap 25-kilometer route inside the estate. Prizes worth Php 150,000 await participants, as Alviera is giving away 6 bicycles and a load accessories and gift checks.
Alviera is definitely the perfect weekend getaway destination as its adventure amenities come aplenty and is just a two-hour drive away from Manila.
For starters, there’s the Alviera Bike Trails, open to all cyclists, with routes designed for trail and gravel bikes, and gorgeous panoramic views for Instagram-worthy selfies. This five-kilometer trail accommodates cyclists of all levels, as it offers both leisure routes and more intense cycling paths. Indeed, there’s no better place than Porac for your weekend ride-out sessions, folks!
There’s also Alviera’s KTM Off-Road Track, a 3-hectare motocross course that hosts off-road motorcross events. If you’re one who’s still learning to ride, the place offers training programs complete with a set of obstacle courses and facilities. Motorists, this is your must-visit destination this year.
For those looking for a breath of fresh mountain air, Alviera comes with green spaces galore at Greenscapes. De-stress in the estate’s beautiful garden where trees and plants endemic to the region grow. Here you can unwind amongst a blooms field, an ornamental plant nursery, and a tree farm.
Get into the adventure zone at Alviera’s Sandbox, which spans an outdoor network comprised of a roller coaster zipline, an aerial walk, giant swing and facilities for wall climbing, rappelling, and free-falling. The estate also houses CityKart, where they take pride in holding the longest karting complex in the country.
If you’re looking for a place to pitch your tent and marvel at the night sky, then make a beeline towards Alviera’s W Camp—a 5,000-square-meter campsite designed with car campers in mind.
