Actor Zeppi Borromeo is a big fan of Christopher Reeve’s “Superman,” particularly while growing up and seeing the film. But Borromeo is an even bigger fan of villains in superhero movies.
“Ang weird is I lean more on contravidas. Kahit GI Joe, mas nagugustuhan ko ‘yung kontabida because ‘yung uniqueness nila, ‘yung hitsura nila na hindi plain,” he said during the grand mediacon for “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The Series” last month. “It is a challenge na ganoon ang hitsura nila.”
(What is weird is I lean more towards antagonists. Even in “G.I. Joe,” I like the villains more because of their uniqueness, the way they look which is not plain. It is a challenge to look like a villain.)
But if there is a super power that he wants to possess, it would be the power to bring back time.
“Para maitama ang mga mali. Para mapunan mo ang mga pagkukulang mo before. At kung may power ka to bring back time, magkakaroon ka ng power to shape the future,” he explained.
(For you to correct your mistakes. For you to realize your shortcomings before. And when you have the power to bring back time, you will have the power to shape the future.)
Borromeo plays Oleg in the series, a barangay tanod and informant. JB
