There’s nothing more frustrating than noticing your lipstick has smudged, faded, or even worse, disappeared, while you’re out enjoying yourself. Who has the time to constantly conduct lipstick checks and mid-dinner touchups just to make sure that it’s as gorgeous as your first swipe? Not me! With the holiday season coming up, we’ve been on the hunt for lippies that would stay put through sips, bites, or even a smooch or two. Below, we’ve rounded up our favorites– from a natural lip stain to the good ol’ classic lipstick and even a bold liquid lip, we’ve got a pick for a worry-free night (or day).
Nars PowerMatte Lipstick (₱1,650.00)
This lipstick claims to be transfer resistant and has a 10-hour long wear. Available in 15 shades this range offers shades of pink and red that are comfortable on the lips, yet deliver an incredible color payoff. The Powermatte applies effortlessly as a cream and dries down to a matte finish without drying the lips. This lipstick is so lightweight that it’s easy to forget that you have anything on.

Dior Addict Lip Tint ($38 or PHP 2,200)
An everyday favorite of mine and perfect if you’re going for the natural no-makeup look is the Dior Addict Lip Tint. On application, this tint feels almost water-like and has a mild cooling sensation that goes away fairly quickly and leaves you with the freshest my-lips-but-better color. This tint is absolutely hydrating thanks to the infused Cherry Oil but like any other tint, it is best to exfoliate your lips before applying to avoid the product clinging onto dry patches.

Kat Von D Everlasting Hyperlight Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick (₱1,640.00)
Like most of KDV’s products, the everlasting liquid lipstick is a tried and true budge-proof liquid lip whose color payoff is unparalleled. This range is a new and evolved ultra-thin and flexible formula that helps prevent caking and flaking. A crowd favorite shade is the Queen of Poisons (formerly known as the iconic Lolita) which is chestnut rose-colored. KVD also offers interesting shades for the more adventurous, like Scorpiris an indigo blue, and Torch Ginger a bright orange. You can order from Sephora to get your very own.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color (₱1,960.00)
As a fan of Fenty Beauty and anything Rihanna does, I had to include the Stunna Lip Paint. With a thin and runny formulation, the Stunna Lip Paint has a true matte finish that gives you an opaque look and even coverage with just one layer without it settling into your lip lines. One con for me however is that they only have 8 shade ranges to choose from, but they do claim that these colors are flattering and would look incredible with all skin tones. Rituel de Fille Enchanted Lip Sheer ($25 or PHP 1,400)
While the name says Lip Sheer, it is anything but! This lip stain is unlike your traditional liquid formula since it comes in a tube and pretty much resembles your average lipstick. This stain applies more like a cross between a balm and stain, essentially more like a very pigmented lipstick despite its name, and has a staining effect. And while it’s not completely transfer-proof (yes, I cheated a little) when the pigments wear off you are left with beautifully stained lips.
