Unbothered and living true to his stage name, Bad Bunny is not sorry about throwing a fan’s phone in the water.

The top-charting Puerto Rican rapper recently went viral after a video showing him grabbing the phone of a woman trying to take a video selfie with him, and throwing it to a nearby body of water went rounds. Named Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, he was walking along the streets of the Dominican Republic together with security, friends, and a couple of fans when a woman came up beside him and started putting her phone in front of their faces in an attempt to take a video. After a short while, the rapper snatched and tossed it away before continuing his walk.

Amidst the drama and the negative reactions, Bad Bunny defends his actions on Twitter saying, “The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone bastard in my face I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat it likewise” as translated from Spanish via Twitter.
