3.48 million: Total number of registered motorcycles and tricycles in PH 2010, according to the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

1 million+: Estimated number of motorcycles that are currently running unregistered on Philippine roads as of January 2011, according to LTO.

17,097: Total number of motorcycles involved in Metro Manila road accidents in 2010, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System (MMARAS) 2010.

33.75: Percentage of fatal vehicular accidents in Metro Manila that involved motorcycles in 2010, the highest fatality accident rate among vehicles in that year, according to the  MMARAS.

P 1,500 to P10,000: Fine for a person caught violating  Republic Act No.10054 or the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009 that requires the  wearing of a standard protective motorcycle helmet.

1994: Year that the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association or NAMSSA, the governing body for motorcycle sports in the country, was established.  Duly recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee, it is also the only Philippine federation affiliated with the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) or International Motorcycling Federation, the world governing body for motorcycle sports.

140+: Number of motorcycle sports events offered by the FIM.

10: Number of times that rider Jolet Jao bagged the championship of the Superbikes Series.

14: Age of Jean Erick or Jerick Mitra when he won the Junior 85cc event in the FIM Asian Motocross Series last year.
