MANILA, Philippines – There will be a “W.A.R.” in the coming week but it won’t be waged with guns but with arts, music and sports – the Waray way.
The Waray Art Revolution will be a weeklong summer event that aims to provide quality entertainment and self-discovery for the young and young at heart.
W.A.R, to take place from May 14-19 in Tacloban City, Leyte and organized by Warays, is supported by Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez.
Some of the W.A.R. activities are the music expo, beatbox competition, digital art exhibit, modern art exhibit, body painting, fashion show, BMX flatland and soccer competitions.

Food and dry goods bazaars will also be put up for shoppers and food trippers while party animals can enjoy the Mothership Street Party to be hosted by DJ Kevin Ruiz. A rock concert will highlight the festivities with participating bands like Greyhoundz, WilabaliW, Monochrome and The Royal.
