On his 52nd birthday, skateboard legend Tony Hawk announced via Twitter the return of the classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 series. Both games will be getting a modern makeover on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for a Sept. 4 release.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 will retain their original features including the soundtrack, game levels, tricks (on top of additional skateboard moves, too) and a roster of iconic skateboarders like Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley and Bucky Lasek.
“The original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series is a big factor in the evolution of modern skateboarding tricks and inspiring many of the pro skaters you know and love today,” said Hawk in a statement. “I’m excited to help inspire a new generation of skateboarders and gamers—and existing fans—to grow the sport even further.”
This time, the graphics of the classic skateboard game will be remastered up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second—much to the delight of avid PS4 and Xbox users. The games will be released by Vicarious Vision.
