システム Fairy (System Fairy) just released a new track entitled “Write To Her Heart” under Artzie music. The track samples Lovelyz’s “Wow,” turning the K-pop bop into an upbeat cheerful future funk song. Who knew K-pop and future funk work so well together?
We’re looking forward to more from the Manila-based electronic producer. Although future funk may be known for its meme-ish leanings, producers like システム Fairy are giving the genre some legitimacy by continuing producing the tracks long after the initial hype is out. Can we expect regular gigs featuring songs like “Write To Her Heart” in the future? It’s already happening, and we want more of it.
