In today’s episode of horror speculations, video game edition: “Silent Hill” might be back from the dead, as multiple games from the franchise are reportedly in development.

Several reports have put two and two together after news circulated that video game developer Bloober Team is working on “another horror IP” with a “very famous publisher,” as mentioned in an interview with Gamesindustry.biz.

“(We’ve) been working for more than a year on another gaming project, another horror IP, and we’re doing this with a very famous gaming publisher,” says Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. “I can’t tell you who. I can’t tell you what the project is, but I’m pretty sure when people realize we’re working on it, they will be very excited.”

But wait, there’s more: According to Video Games Chronicles’ sources, Konami, the publisher with the rights to the “Silent Hill” franchise, had already outsourced a new project for the horror video games series to a “prominent” Japanese developer which will be revealed in a few months. If the Bloober team’s working on their own “Silent Hill,” then horror stans might be looking at multiple projects for the franchise. (Uh, “Silent Hills” 2.0?)

If both speculations turn out to be correct, then I’m already crying for my subconscious. (Hello, nightmares, my old friend.)

In the meantime, check out these seven other horrific games that are bound to scare you shitless.
