From being rivals in “Senior High” to working on “Kasing Kasing” together, Juan Karlos and Kyle Echarri have become an unstoppable duo

When people are maximizing their joint slay, we have no choice but to support it—especially if it’s as moving as Juan Karlos and Kyle Echarri’s recent collaboration. The two “The Voice Kids” and “Senior High” alums released a single on Jan. 26 titled “Kasing Kasing” (Heart).

The pair’s new offering is a song written fully in Bisaya, an ode to the singer-actor duo’s Cebuano roots. JK hails from Consolacion while Kyle moved to Cebu City in 2014 from Orange County, California.

To tease their collaboration, Kyle shared an Instagram post with the caption, “Andam na ba mo?” (Are you ready?)

Meanwhile, following the single’s release, JK posted a Reel with clips from their music video, asking fans: “Unsa may tan-aw ninyo sa song?” (What do you guys think of the song?)

Bisaya fans immediately flooded the comments, writing about how huge of an impact the song has on them. You can also spot a comment from “Senior High” director Onat Diaz, asking if the song had a Tagalog translation.

The single is a delight to the ears as the two Gen Zs naturally matched each other’s softness and passion in their vocals. Lyrically, it was a shot to the heart—going through every line felt like witnessing the collective flashback of every kind of heartbreak the two singers went through.

Needless to say, if there are more collaborations between the Cebuano talent , the audience better come prepared to get hooked.
