Good news, demigods! Rick Riordan has finally come to his senses and went to Hollywood to convince Disney in revitalizing his franchise “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” It’s about time to give justice to the series after two poor adaptations (Logan Lerman excluded).
The book series has now spent 10 years on the New York Times Best-seller list and fans have been waiting for redemption. From the apparent age gap of Percy from the book to the movie, Annabeth’s brunette hair and the lack of important and funny scenes, fans are hoping for Disney to improve the production for what’s to come. This time, they want it to be officially based on the book.
Riordan took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude for fans who made #DisneyAdaptPercyJackson trend.
Thank you, guys, for getting this trending with no prompting. I have nothing to announce on this front yet, but I am in LA right now, trying hard to convince the powers-that-be that this needs to happen for you, the fans. Your enthusiasm online helps! #DisneyAdaptPercyJackson
