In a 2018 article by TIME, we’re confronted with the truth that a third of U.S. teenagers “haven’t read a book for pleasure in at least a year.” According to The Washington Post, there really has been a decline in reading from 2017 to 2018. Somehow, we’ve identified with this narrative. (The pile of books sitting in your room would agree.)
As we struggle with our continuous battle with tsundoku (or book hoarding), one thing we need is a drive back to our dedicated reading habits and there’s no better person to run to than critically-acclaimed multi-platform writer Jessica Zafra—who reads at least one book a week.
