Totally exciting and stylish was the launch of Condura at the Rockwell Tent.
Happily welcoming their chosen invitees were the unbeatable famille triumvirate of Raul Concepcion, Renna Hechanova-Angeles and Ton Concepcion, the hotshots behind Concepcion Durables Inc (CDI), “the leading and only all-Filipino refrigerator company in the country today,” Renna told moi, palanggas.
The all-new series Condura Negosyo Refrigerators, such as the fifth-generation 5G Series and Negosyo Style Series, were introduced in a fashion show.
Gorgeous and jaw-dropping models from South America, Europe and Asia participated in the fabulous runway show. The event was definitely not your usual refrigerator launch, palanggas.
CDI also announced it was all geared up to go global. Marking this important milestone was the introduction of the new Condura logo, which certainly looks at par with the world’s best brands.
It was crystal clear, when the bash got on an avalanche-roll, that everyone was looking forward to seeing more of what Condura has in store for the local market and beyond, dahlings.
Glossy turns 15
The Philippine edition of top women’s magazine Cosmopolitan marked 15 years of empowering thousands of Filipino women in a big, bold bash held at the NBC Tent.
Dubbed “The Sexiest Party of the Year,” the country’s hottest glamorous personalities and industry namedroppables partied hard in tropical splendor during the “Fun, Fearless Female” bash, which had a Malibu beach theme.
Cosmo Hunk Marky Stroem and 2012 Cosmo Fun Fearless Female awardee Zia Quizon opened the show.
Gracing the affair were former Cosmo cover girls such as Donita Rose, Giselle Toengi, Assunta de Rossi, Alessandra de Rossi, Judy Ann Santos, Marian Rivera, KC Concepcion, Heart Evangelista, Toni Gonzaga, Kim Chiu, Lovi Poe, Sarah Geronimo, Bea Alonzo, Georgina Wilson, Solenn Heusaff, and May 2012 and six-time cover girl Anne Curtis.
“Others try to imitate—but no one can really duplicate—the Cosmo brand and [its] special place in the Filipino woman’s life,” founding Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Myrza Sison said. “Tonight, we salute the Cosmo way of life and how it has emboldened her to live big and go after her dreams.”
“Cosmo is happy to have played such a significant role not just in thousands of young Filipino women’s lives but also in our women’s history, empowering thousands of Cosmo girls all over the country,” Sison said to wild applause, natch!
Cosmo also honored its top Cosmo centerfolds bringing to life its May 2012 issue featuring “15 Hottest Hunks Ever,” such as Derek Ramsay, Marc Nelson, Jon Hall, Fabio Ide, Hideo Muraoka, Aly Borromeo, Jay-R, Brent Javier, Jake Cuenca, Jon Avila, Aljur Abrenica, Will Devaughn and Rafael Rosell.
Ending the bash were numbers from Techy Romantics and cool dance beats from DJ Mars Miranda which rocked the Tent, palanggas.

Avon tribute
Passion and hard-earned success were the focus of Avon, dubbed “The Company for Women,” during the President’s Banquet and Gala Night at the reception hall of the Philippine International Convention Center, dahlings.
Hosted by the witty pair of Randy Santiago and John Estrada, the fab happening themed “Shine!” gave special recognition to 1,800 outstanding sales leaders of Avon from all over the country. It also saw the launch of YOU [Your Opportunity Unlimited], “the new Avon leadership structure designed to promote better growth opportunities for these individuals,” said PR gal Joy Buensalido.
The highlight was Avon giving out a magnificent lipstick-red Mercedes Benz, no less, to the successful sales leader who achieved the YOU targets. Now that truly deserves a wow, di bala?
Avon Philippines’ new president and GM Kanwar Bhutani looked like a fine gentleman beside Avon’s gorgeously stunning endorsers, such as Anne Curtis, Ruffa Gutierrez, Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Shamcey Supsup and Lucy Torres-Gomez.
Also in the crowd were other Bb. Pilipinas titleholders, who left the men and women in the audience mesmerized with so many beauties around.
Yes, dahlings, Avon’s President’s Banquet and Gala Night was an incredible celebration that paid tribute to passion, hard work and determination, qualities that make up the successful Avon sales representative.
