An art gallery nestled in idyllic Antipolo is the perfect venue of an exhibit focusing on gardens. “Inspired by Gardens” at the Antipolo Pinto Art Gallery opens Aug. 25 at 3 p.m.
Some of the featured artists include Jim Orencio, a master impressionist who captures the play of light in his on-the-spot gardenscapes; Jeanne Tan, who fascinates with the coral gardens of her under-the-sea travels; and Andy Orencio, who paints his mountain reveries in blue.
Visitors can view Candice Arellano and Reymar Gacutan’s abstract gardens; Ricky Villabona’s detailed forms; Philip Ines’ electrified foliage; and Anthony Palomo and Tessa Aligaen’s romantic watercolor gardens. Gardener par excellence Popo San Pascual shares his dreamy jungle in Tagaytay, while his friend Dranreb Belleza captures a profusion of colors.
“Inspired by Gardens” will be on view from Aug. 25 to Sept. 10. Call Mikey Blanco at 0916-3187558 or e-mail [email protected].
