KIDS Acts Philippines presents “Pinocchio, the Live Marionette Musical,” with script, lyrics and direction by Luigi Nacario, and music by Eugene Belbis.

It is a retelling of the classic children’s story of Pinocchio, the puppet boy who dreamed to become a real boy.

“Pinocchio, the Live Marionette Musical,” runs weekends until Oct. 2, with shows at 10 am, 2 and 6 p.m., at St. Cecilia’s Hall, St. Scholastica’s College, Manila.

The play features TheCampArt Kid actors of Kids Acts Philippines. Ticket is at P500.

 ‘Moliere,’ three plays

Egg Theater Co. presents “Moliere PMS” featuring adaptations of three plays by French playwright and actor Molière: “Praning” (The Imaginary Invalid); “Maniacal” (The Learned Ladies); and “Schism (The Misanthrope).”

It runs Oct. 1 and 2 at PARC Foundation, 494 Lt. Artiaga St., San Juan City; and Oct. 7-9, 14-16, at Pineapple Lab, 6071 Palma Street, Rockwell, Makati.

“Moliere PMS” fuses the three plays into a satirical comedy that pokes a searing look at the foibles and travails of theater artists divided and polarized by the ills of hypocrisy and pretentiousness.

The plays are adapted and directed by Palanca award-winning playwright George de Jesus III.

 Classical guitar concert

The Guitar Friends and St. Scholastica’s College present classical guitar artist Jacob Cordover with the special participation of The Kabataang Gitarista And Edel Mark Bitao in a free concert, Oct. 6, 7 p.m., at St. Cecilia’s Hall, St. Scholastica’s College Manila.

Cordover will also be conducting a guitar masterclass on Oct. 3, 3 p.m., at the Mini Hall of University of the Philippines College of Music, and Oct. 7, 1 p.m., at the Rehearsal Hall, St. Cecilia Bldg., St. Scholastica’s College Manila.

Cordover, from Barcelona, has appeared as soloist with the Las Colinas Symphony, Arlington Symphony, Garland Symphony, Orquestra Simfònica de Balears “Ciutat de Palma” and the Orchestra dell’Accademia “l’Ottocento.”

 ‘#14 Leandro Road,’ a horror story

The Theater House of Black presents the play “#14 Leandro Road,” a horror story which blurs the line between the real world and the supernatural. It is a Filipino adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Fall of the House of Usher.” It runs Oct. 7-8 at Power Mac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati. Written by C.K. Bautista and director Jay Crisostomo IV, “#14 Leandro Road” is set in Baguio City and follows the story of Ed/Edna Ramos, a real estate agent, who gets invited to the house of Rudy/Pilar, a grade school friend.
