Breaking the businessman stereotype in black suit, Chris Bradley Chua Cokieng at 27 years old is ready to take on the Philippine market with Super Coffee.

Super Coffee is the newest 3-in-1 coffee Singaporean coffee brand to be available in the Philippines by United Pacific Rise Corporation. Running the knitty-gritty operations of Super Coffee Philippines in strenuous spirit along with the Super team, Chris is just getting started. He’s always available to the employees from trouble shooting to meeting deliverables and you’d often catch him rolling up his sleeves.

As far as achievement goes, only few of his peers can hold a candle to Chris because of his pedigree in fast moving consumer goods. Uniquely enough his background is anything but business, Chris is a licensed Mechanical Engineer and a squadron member of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.

1. What is your favorite Super Coffee variant?

2. How did your journey into partnership with a Singaporean coffee company begin?

It started with a trip to Indonesia while looking for products to bring into the Philippines. Our coffee break during the trip led us to discover how tasty and good Super product is.

3. How different was the experience in Super Coffee compared to the other product ventures of the company?

It is still the same with how we take good care of the rest of our ventures, it has its own birth pains and challenges. When your product is of good quality, its always worth the ride.

4. What/Who are your success enablers in Super Coffee?

The SUPER team I work with and ….God.

5. What were some of the biggest lessons that have impacted the way you run Super Coffee now in the Philippines?

It is like having a baby that you take care of and nurture to its growth. The scope is bigger and more demanding yet it is fulfilling.

6. Is work-life balance a possible feat for you?

Yes, of course. It is always a matter of how you manage your time and when you are doing what you love, you’ll never think of it as work.

7. Where do you usually hang-out to de-stress?

Every Saturday, my family goes out for dinner. Everywhere I go so long as I’m in the company of my family and friends, then I’ll be recharged and happy.

8. What advice would you give to other young entrepreneurs starting out there?

Don’t just wing it, plan and prepare and have fun while on it. So whether you take baby steps or you dive head-on into FMCG, roll up your sleeves and pursue it with a strong commitment. Have faith in everything you aspire for.
