Fur baby-loving actress Carla Abellana is advocating for a Christmas feeding effort for stray dogs and cats, which has become a yearly tradition of one of her friends.
Abellana encouraged her fans and social media followers to join a feeding program for these animals through an Instagram post yesterday, Dec. 9 where a photo bore the message: “Let us make them feel that Christmas is for ‘all’ kinds.”
“Christmas is fast approaching and it’s time to make some strays feel this season too. Just like last year, my friend @iamjczurc will be doing the Christmas Stray Feeding twice this month, December 21 [and] 28,” Abellana stated.
“Let’s all share our blessings by giving them one of the best gifts a stray dog or cat can get, a CLEAN & DECENT MEAL,” she appealed.
“We are hoping that you can help him make this possible for them,” the actress added. She then enumerated what the project would be needing: dog food, rice, chicken liver, ground pork, hotdog, veggies, paper plates and bowls.
Those who wish to help in the feeding program may send their donations through the following: GCash/Paymaya (09266646541); BDO (account no. 0086 7001 5876); BPI (account no. 5796278961); Metrobank (2413241458602); and Paypal ([email protected]).
“Please indicate JC’s name, ‘Christmas Stray Feeding’ for validation and proper accounting,” Abellana said.
A known animal lover and advocate for animal rights, Abellana has been promoting the welfare of dogs and cats, particularly those who have been abandoned, tortured and abused. She recently appealed to fans to help the San Mateo Pound which was badly hit by Typhoon Ulysses. JB
