Jeweler Janina Dizon introduces a new line, Joier Janina. It features 3D jewelry printing and enameling by skilled artisans.

The new venture springs forth from Janina’s welcoming attitude toward change. “We always want to evolve our existing jewelry lines, and this is one of them. I’ve always loved enamel, and this just takes it further. We love having a personal dialogue with our clients and friends and in this manner, all inputs are welcome to make the collaboration a deeply personal kind,” she said.

Janina has partnered with Walter McCaffrey. “Having been in the US military most of his life, he switched gears upon coming here, and seeing that I needed assistance with the business and his tech know-how, we decided to go into 3D jewelry printing,” she says.

3D jewelry printing is a curious effort and is the future when it comes to this aspect of fashion. Janina describes it as “one of the most advanced techniques in jewelry making today.”

“It works with a computer program wherein you can actually view a physical wax model of your jewelry print in a matter of hours,” she explains. “It is more efficient and lets the designer and the client have a more personal dialogue with the total outcome. With 3D printing, designers are able to produce designs that are incredibly difficult to hand-carve in the traditional manner.”

Any color

Joier Janina (@joierjanina on Instagram) creates custom-made gold coins, signet rings, medallions and monogram jewelry. “All gemstones can be incorporated, as well as any color under the sun and sky,” says Janina.

Clients can be assured that Janina brings her years of experience in jewelry making. She says one great lesson is “how to make it as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality.”

And since jewelry is very personal and intimate, Janina always puts what the customer wants first. “We’ve always known that the client relationship is of utmost importance. By dealing directly, there is less chance of error, and the joy and satisfaction of finishing an heirloom piece is priceless.”

3D jewelry printing can be used for many designs.

Joier Janina is also an eclectic line. “I really love marrying our Ophidia line with our enameling. I believe that it’s a perfect integration of what we already have and what we can still do.” She also looks forward to more crossovers.

“Evolution is key. I’d like to see our monogram pendants incorporated into our other successful lines such as the Transformer collection. A pendant that becomes a pin, a ring that becomes an earring. I mean, why not? Exciting times ahead!”

Joier Janina showcases a very personalized approach.

Of new beginnings, and reflecting on the Joier Janina business-wise, Janina shares this piece of advice: ”Be patient! There is a learning curve in any venture. Just believe in what you offer and always add the extra oomph to anything you do. As they say, God is in the details.” INQ
