For the fifth installment of their ‘Othertopias’ fragrance collection, Aesop invites us once more to reach into the far depths of our consciousness. Merging both the dreamscape and the waking world, ‘Gloam’ encapsulates an other worldly

A glorious blend of spicy yet floral notes, ‘Gloam’ opens with a warm blend of pink pepper and cardamom. Softened by the fresh florals of neroli and its sweeter counterpart, orange flower, its aromatic spice notes are welcomed by saffron and clove that unravel alongside herbal maté, heady narcissus, and pollen-like mimosa.

The warmth from rose and jasmine sambac lends a roundness to the spicy floral heart, and for its base, ‘Gloam’ is bound by a sumptuous and powdery blend of iris, patchouli, copaiba, and sandalwood, delivering an unexpected tactility and comfort.

Created in partnership with Aēsop’s long-term fragrance collaborator Barnabé Fillion, he describes this fragrance as “A smell, whether in the air, on our skin, or on our clothes, creates a world within our world that is both physical and imagined—a phenomenon that blurs the boundaries of past and present, real and unreal, here and there. A window into nature, so to speak, one that invites a dialogue with surroundings that we inhabit but often overlook.”

At its core, ‘Gloam’ conjures an antique charm, similar to that of a warm breeze passing through drapes, or a beam of light breaking though a dark corner in the early morning.

‘Gloam’ is the ninth installment to Aēsop’s Eau de Parfum range, preceding their other scents, namely Miraceti, Karst, Erémia, Eidesis ,Rōzu, Marrakech Intense, Tacit and Hwyl.
