Yes, folks, Timotheé Chalamet and filmmaker Luca Guadagnino are returning together for a new film. And no, it isn’t the “Call Me By Your Name” sequel. It’s about cannibalism—which we swear is completely coincidental. *cough*
Timmy C. and the “Call Me By Your Name” director are set to reunite in a horror flick based on the 2016 novel “Bones & All” by Camille DeAngelis. The young adult book centers on a teenage girl (played by Taylor Russell) who searches for her long-lost father while struggling to restrain her bloodthirsty desire to eat human flesh. A typical coming-of-age story, as we like to say.
Of course, everyone and their mother (on the internet) can’t help but raise a few brows due to the plot in question, in light of recent allegations of “Call Me By Your Name” co-actor Armie Hammer exhibiting cannibalistic desires of his own. Hammer’s estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, responding to “Bones & All’s” plot, wrote “No. Words.” And to that, we say, “Same.”
Elsewhere in the Timotheé Chalamet and Luca Guadagnino ’verse, the duo might still make the actual “Call Me By Your Name” sequel, but y’all will just have to wait—because pandemic.
