The Tokyo-Manila Jazz and Arts Festival is back, hopefully for good as an annual event. We attended one of its gigs last year and were impressed with the fusion of Japanese and Filipino talents on one stage.
After two successful pocket shows held early this year, the Tokyo Manila Jazz and Arts Festival (TMJAF) returns with a two-day celebration of music and art on Oct. 17-19.
The Philippine Youth Symphonic Band (PYSB) has been on a roll, with annual concerts that incorporate various music genres—classical, folk, pop, and, most recently, jazz.
