Planetary cycles and the elections | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Your mantra for the week: “God is in charge, I can now relax.”

I am often asked, “Why did God create us?” My answer: God created us to create the kind of lives we desire. That is why the name of God in the Old Testament is “I AM THAT I AM.” And that the “I Am” within each one of us is the power we use to create our lives, making us co-creators with God.

Looking back

On Jan. 17, 1986, people were busy preparing for the snap elections that dictator Ferdinand Marcos had agreed to hold.

For the first time in years, I guested on the TV show “Two for the Road,” with Elvira Manahan and Nestor Torre hosting. I was wearing my Cory Aquino pin in the company of other guests which included ambassador JV Cruz and the well-respected Carmen Guerrero Nakpil.

During the show, I was asked who I believe would win the election and I replied, “There would be a different king of revolution.” Everybody was aghast, so I clarified, “It would be a different kind of revolution.”

Seven planetary cycles

You see, Marcos moved the elections from the third week of January to Feb. 7 to coincide with his lucky number 7. If he only knew about the Seven Planetary Cycles, he would have let the elections happen on the third week as originally planned. Cory would then have been on her 7th cycle which could have changed the outcome, cycle-wise.

As Divine Providence would have it, Feb. 7 was the appointed day putting Cory on her sun cycle or first cycle of expected and unexpected blessings. Her opponent was on his 3rd cycle, having been born on Sept. 11. The rest is history.

I have made a study of those who occupied the presidency when the elections were held in November: Manuel Quezon a Leo; Ramon Magsaysay, Sergio Osmeña and Ferdinand Marcos, all Virgos; Diosdado Macapagal, a Libra; Elpidio Quirino and Carlos P. Garcia, both Scorpios; and Manuel Roxas, a Capricorn.

When the elections moved to May, the winners were: Fidel V. Ramos, a Piscean; Joseph Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, both Arians; and P-Noy, an Aquarian.

On May 9, 2016, the contenders for the presidency are: Rodrigo Duterte, an Aries on his 1st cycle; Grace Poe, a Virgo on her 5th cycle; Mar Roxas, a Taurus on his 7th cycle; Jejomar Binay, a Scorpio who will be on his 4th cycle; Miriam Santiago, a Gemini who will be in the middle of her 7th cycle like many of the Cancerians.

What these mean: 1st cycle: a period of expected and unexpected blessings; 2nd cycle: a continuation of the first cycle especially when the moon is waxing; 3rd cycle: physical energy and stamina; 4th cycle: intellectual and creative pursuits are recommended; 5th cycle: with Jupiter at its helm, promises success of all kinds; 6th cycle: those around you will see the best in you which makes it a good time for romance; 7th cycle: the harvesting of good and bad karma.
