Can’t get enough of Pokémon Go? A Korean bakery aims to satisfy cravings of addicted fans of the smartphone game.
Brilliant bakers at the Dalmiin Baking Studio conceptualized mouth-watering pastries of adorable Pikachu grinning inside a melted and savory Pokéball.
It takes a lot of intricate and delicate steps and baking “hacks” to perfect the recipe. First, Pikachu’s stout body was gently molded out of a macaron shell made from egg whites, powdered sugar, and yellow food coloring. The cookie dough was baked in an oven and then decorated with eyes and other features of the monster using black, red and white food coloring.
The macaron’s filling is a mixture of milk chocolate, earl gray leaf and fresh cream. The creative two semi-circles of the Pokéball were made from several types chocolate and food coloring.
The dessert was drizzled with chocolate sauce.
