It seemed more like a fashion event than a wedding, with several guests from the fashion industry in attendance, but it was a perfect summer day when in-demand designer Maureen Disini married business executive Daniel Teichert in Tagaytay.
Choosing among several locations for their big day, the couple eventually opted to have the ceremony at the sprawling home of the bride’s brother, Pintoresco, in Alfonso, Cavite. With several of the couple’s close family and friends in attendance, guests walked into an elegant, luxe garden setting, which was done by Pat Pastelero of Spruce Floral Designs and event planner Rita Neri. A live choir and orchestra played in the background.
The bride, a former stylist and fashion editor, designed the gowns and dresses of her entourage and choir with her signature draping and lace, but chose to wear a tiered off-the-rack gown for herself, bought during a trip to Paris from Valentino. The dramatic veil, however, which the bride fashioned into a cape, was her own design. The groom wore suits by Joey Samson.
After the ceremony, cocktails and dinner reception followed at Antonio’s, while guests danced the night away to music by DJ Badboy Jeff.
