You must have heard, dahlings, about The Makeup Addicts, a new blog run by three ladies—Katrina Ponce-Enrile, her daughter Kristen, and Kristen’s pal Bianca Cabildo-Jackes.
But they clarified, “We don’t refer to ourselves as experts, but rather as beauty enthusiasts.”
The Makeup Addicts was formally launched recently at Soma in Green Sun hotel in Makati, with three prominent beauties—Gretchen Barretto, Kiana Valenciano and Samantha Richelle del Rosario—lending their presence as the official muses of the bloggers.
Gretchen’s favorite makeup artist, Patrick Rosas, was given a free hand to interpret Katrina’s idea of the radiant look.
Samantha’s porcelain skin was the perfect vehicle for Jigs Mayuga’s version of Bianca’s effused touch.
Kiana had the ideal face for Imee Sitchon’s execution of the edgy look that Kristen wanted.
The makeup muses went onstage wearing clothes by designer Charina Sarte.
The event also showcased other models made up by Guerlain, Make Up Forever and Inglot, with hair by Aveda; the models were likewise dressed by Charina S.
Bianca Valerio emceed the gathering, while Katrina’s other daughter, Tiana, performed as a guest artist.
Singer Jessica Connelly and DJ Nix Damn P added more musical delights to the très glamorous party.
Champagne courtesy of Moët & Chandon were served by Belvedere Bar, with customized drinks inspired by the blogger trio: Obsessive (Bianca), Compulsive (Kristen) and Hoarder (Katrina).
Later on everyone proceeded to check out the makeup booths and gallery which featured products available through The Makeup Addicts. Samsung tablets were provided to help the guests browse the blog—whose content includes light and playful reads.
As a triple treat, Katrina, Kristen and Bianca hope that their blog would make people “find not only inspiration, but something new to love about makeup.”

Congrats, Svenson!
Hair and scalp treatment center Svenson celebrated its 35th anniversary with its endorsers and VIP guests joining the brand’s top officials for a sumptuous dinner and concert.
On hand to welcome everyone were Svenson president George T. Siy and executive vice president Jacqueline Share-Siy.
Present were Svenson endorsers Sam YG, Gino Quillamor, RJ Ledesma, Philip Cu-Unjieng, Tessa Valdes and yours truly, among others.
Also spotted were chef Roland Laudico as well as Riki Flo, Camille Co and Suki Salvador.
All guests were later ushered into the Svenson Black Fleet bus, which took them to the Mall of Asia Arena to watch Jason Derulo.
It was a night full of fun, laughter, music and good vibes. How time flies, palangga, to think that I used to drive from Makati to Alabang because my Svenson hairdresser had been assigned there.
New sports bra collection
Triumph, maker of women’s lingerie since 1886, launched its latest sports bra collection with two sessions of nontraditional physical activities to put the new products to the test.
The first session took place at Fitness First Platinum in SM Aura in Taguig. Triumph endorser, UAAP season 77 Volleyball Finals MVP Amy “Kiwi” Ahomiro of Ateneo invited the guests to sample an intense 30-minute body combat class.
A second session involving another alternative fitness activity was held at Saddle Row in Serendra. The guests experienced a unique spinning class that allowed them to push their muscles via pedal.
Everyone passed through a Triumph body measuring station at the venue entrance which displayed the new sports bra collection.
Triumph staff assisted the guests to update their bra size and find the right undergarment for the two activities.
Describing the new Triumph sports bra collection, Celine Gabriel-Lim said that it comes in three designs to fit the intensity of a woman’s physical activities.
The low-intensity bra comes in two styles, while there is one each for the medium- and high-intensity bras.
Each of them has been carefully molded to follow every curve of a woman’s body, provide excellent support, fit and freedom of movement, so all you need to do is focus on your workout.
