American retailer Beloved Shirts wants to make sure you turn heads at the beach with their latest swimsuit design.
The item “sexy chest one piece swimsuit” is being sold online, with the description “Make the pool boy say ‘WTF’”:
It is bound to get you reactions, as this video of a mom and her kids shows:
While it’s all in good fun, an Instagram user commented that her own body looked like this design and felt that her body type was being mocked.
Beloved Shirts clarified in Instagram comments that these were made to celebrate all types of bodies: “People love to judge people’s bodies – especially in swimsuits. We’re trying to push back on the idea of the ‘perfect beach bod.’ Imagine if everyone had one of these on? We think all bodies should be celebrated on the beach no matter what, and perfection should not be normalized.”
The swimsuit comes in various shades of nude so that anyone can sport dad bods:
The company added, “The WTF aspect of the caption basically says ‘my body doesn’t exist to please you or make you happy.’” JB
