Do you erase memories? | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

During my many years of writing about topics beyond orthodox science and religion, I have been asked so many unusual and sometimes difficult-to-answer questions. Here are two recent ones:

1. Do you erase memories?

No, I don’t. What I do is not to make people forget, but, on the contrary, to make them remember.

In the ultimate analysis, nothing is really erased. Everything we have thought of and experienced is recorded permanently in our Akashic record.

The Akashic record is written in “the skein of time and space,” as the psychic Edgar Cayce described it.

Each person creates his own individual Akashic record of everything that has happened to him, from the time he was born to the time he passes on to the next plane of existence, which is the spiritual world.

And it has been shown by Edgar Cayce, who died in 1945, and some other outstanding psychics, like the late Olof Jonsson of Sweden, that one can access the Akashic record of individuals. To a certain extent, we also teach this in our ESP class through psychometry or object reading.

Not only one’s memory in this lifetime can be accessed. When given the proper condition and techniques, many individuals can remember their past lives and even find proof for them.

But it is possible to erase one’s memory temporarily through hypnosis. I saw a demonstration of this on a television show a long time ago. A man is hypnotized on camera and is asked to forget the number six. Then he is asked to count the number of fingers on his hands. He counted one-two-three-four-five-seven-eight-nine-ten-eleven. He is puzzled and wondered why he counted eleven fingers.

Then he was asked to count his fingers on the left hand, and he correctly counted one to five. Then he was asked to count fingers on his right hand, and he counted correctly from one to five. When asked again to count the fingers of both hands, he ended up counting 11 fingers, because he was made to forget number six.

Then he was taken out of his trance state and, with a sigh of relief, realized he was not losing his mind. The hypnotist explained to him what he had done with his memory.

Whether particular demonstration was made only for entertainment on television and did not actually happen, I do not know. But theoretically, it is possible to do this temporarily.

Warding it off

2. Is kulam real? How do you know if it has been cast against a person? And how does one ward it off?

What is kulam? I think the nearest English equivalent word for kulam is a “hex,” supposedly cast by witches.

There seems to be some evidence for the reality of kulam in the Philippine context. Some people were reported to have gotten sick and even died because of kulam. It is, however, very difficult to prove conclusively that the malady was caused by kulam.

How do you know if one is a victim of kulam? According to one very famous Filipino healer, we can tell if a sickness is due to kulam because the vibrations he feels when diagnosing a patient is different from that of organically caused illness. So it takes a psychic healer who knows how to diagnose this condition to tell whether it is kulam or not.

How do you ward off kulam? If only a mild form of kulam, most people can ward it off by simply having a positive  mental attitude and envelop one’s self in a shield of golden white light. But for a very strong mangkukulam or witch, you have to find somebody who can match his or her powers to remove the spell.
