History Channel’s highly-anticipated History Con is coming back to Manila on Aug. 10-12 at the World Trade Center. The convention drew 50,000 participants in 2016 and 68,800 in 2017.
This world-class convention will feature some of the original award-winning series, such as “Alone,” “Forged in Fire,” “Pawn Stars,” “The Pickers,” “Ancient Aliens,” “Counting Cars,” “The Curse of Oak Island,” “Vikings,” etc.
Katheryn Winnick of “Vikings” fame will make her special appearance in Manila.
But what interests me most is History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens,” the highly popular sci-fi series that “explores the theory that extraterrestrials (ET) have been visiting the Earth for millions of years.”
As in the past two years, the upcoming convention will be graced by some local and international celebrities and will be led by “Ancient Aliens” host, leading contributor and coproducer Giorgio A. Tsoukalos.
Well-attended
In 2016, Tsoukalos’ talk was one of the most well-attended presentations. The room was packed and many couldn’t get in.
I didn’t realize that the topic of ancient aliens or extraterrestrials had a large following in this conservative Catholic country, where anything outside its dominant religious paradigm is at once condemned as coming from the devil or the dark side.
During the open forum or question-and-answer part with Tsoukalos, I was surprised at how well-informed the audience was about this topic. They asked intelligent and probing questions.
For instance, a young lady asked what Tsoukalos thought of the “Fermi paradox.” I don’t think many readers are familiar with this term, so let me explain.
The Fermi paradox, named after physicist Enrico Fermi (1901-1954), is the apparent contradiction between the lack of evidence for the existence of extraterrestrials and the very high statistical probability of their existence.
The argument made by Fermi and Michael Hart (born 1932) are as follows:
“There are billions of stars in the galaxy that are similar to the sun, and many of these stars are billions of years older than the solar system.
“With high probability, some of these stars have Earth-like planets, and if the Earth is typical, some may have developed intelligent life.
“Some of the civilizations may have developed interstellar travel.
“Even at the slow pace of currently envisioned interstellar travel, the Milky Way galaxy could be completely traversed in a few million years.”
No evidence
According to this line of reasoning, the Earth should have already been visited by extraterrestrial aliens. In an informal conversation with a friend, Fermi noted there was no convincing evidence of this, leading him to ask, “Where is everybody?”
For Tsoukalos and many other leading and serious researchers on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and ETs, like Eric Von Daniken (author of the bestseller “Chariots of the Gods”), the Fermi paradox does not exist because, for them, there is ample evidence all over the world that extraterrestrials, or ancient aliens, have visited planet Earth. They left behind numerous artifacts, monuments and even writings which have been ignored or denied by mainstream archaeologists, anthropologists and historians.
There is no evidence of extraterrestrials being seen by humans because they may have the ability to be invisible, according to Tsoukalos.
However, I believe the reason they can’t be seen by ordinary mortals is that they are paraphysical or semiphysical beings, and are not entirely solid or material. They can be seen only by sensitives or those with clairvoyant psychic abilities or power.
I myself have seen a female gray, hairless extraterrestrial while out of my body and in a trance. I have never seen one in my ordinary waking consciousness. But UFOs have been seen and photographed by numerous people in their ordinary waking consciousness, including myself.
This is the reason I believe in ETs and UFOs. I cannot deny the testimony from my own personal experience. Others may not believe in them, but that’s their opinion.
Another woman in the audience asked Tsoukalos: “Is there a place you can advise me to start my journey in finding evidence for alien visitations on Earth?”
He replied, “Go to Puma Punku first, located near Tiwanaku in Bolivia.” He said other mysterious and massive monuments found around the world must have been built by primitive or ancient people under the direction of superior alien intelligence, like Stonehenge in England, and the Great Pyramids in Egypt and Mexico. But the “massive stone walls in Puma Punku appear to have been built by the visiting aliens themselves.”
This year, Tsoukalos will hold a live session called “Mysteries of the Past with Giorgio A. Tsoukalos,” which will invite fans to explore the unexplained. It aims to bring together truth seekers and history fans to engage them in a discussion, debate and exploration with the leading expert himself.
