Where does disease originate? There are many answers, depending on what exactly is being asked.

Does this refer to the causes of diseases? Or does it refer to the different dimensions or planes where disease may originate?

From the mainstream medical scientific point of view, all diseases can only originate either from physical or psychological causes. It does not believe in the existence of higher dimensions, such as the spiritual realms.

This very narrow and limited view of the origin or causes of diseases has stunted the growth of medical science. As the great inventor Nikola Tesla said, “The day science begins to study nonphysical phenomenon, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”

Shamans, healers and mystics of different cultures have always believed in the existence of higher dimensions or levels where diseases can originate. The physical is the last to manifest in the order of creation. And that’s why before we get sick physically, we are already sick mentally and spiritually.

Unseen layers

The human being is more than just his or her visible physical component. There are many more, mostly unseen layers or parts of his being. And disease can originate from any of these dimensions or energy fields.

As medical intuitive and clairvoyant Barbara Ann Brennan pointed out in her monumental and almost encyclopedic book, “Hands of Light”: “Most diseases are initiated in the energy fields and, through time and living habits, transmitted to the human body, becoming serious illness.” And since her ESP “reveals how a disease is initiated, it also reveals how to reverse the disease process.”

Being a medium, she is also able to channel the source of the disease and do something about it.

Brennan is no mystic, shaman or spiritual guru, far from it. She holds an MS in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Wisconsin. She is a research scientist with Nasa at the Goddard Space Flight Center and has been studying, researching and working with human energy fields for many years. She has also conducted a research project at the Thomas Jefferson Medical Center. She is engaged in teaching and training healers.

She does not use the words “psychic” or “third eye” to refer to her gift. Instead, she calls it high sense perception (HSP), which I think is a better term for it. Psychic or third eye has been so misunderstood and misused that it is better to discard it.

Healing demonstration

As mentioned in a previous article, I was fortunate to have met Brennan in London in the late ’80s in a conference on Philippine Psychic Surgery organized by a British researcher, where I brought Filipino faith healer Emilio Laporga of Cebu City to demonstrate the Philippine style of spiritual healing.

Emilio’s style of making an incision in a patient’s body is similar to that of the late Juan Blance of Pasig and Juanito Flores of Pangasinan. They do it at a distance of about 2 to 3 feet away from the patient, using only their fingers or somebody else’s finger.

Brennan and American psychic researcher Dr. Daniel Benor were present during Emilio’s healing demonstration. She told us afterward that before Emilio made a cutting motion with his finger at a distance, she saw a spark of electricity from his finger and it went straight to the patient’s body. Blood then appeared immediately on the patient’s body. There is no way this could have been done through trickery as Emilio treated almost a hundred patients in two days.

How disease goes from the nonphysical or spiritual dimension down to the physical level is hard to explain. One way of looking at this phenomenon is to consider the relationship of mind, body and spirit.

Activities of the spirit are in the realm of causes, while those of the physical body are in the realm of effects. Before any sickness or disease appears on the physical plane, it already exists on the mental and spiritual planes, or maybe on the more subtle energy fields.

Psychics, clairvoyants and intuitive persons can detect the presence of disease or illness of a person, before it manifests in the physical body, or before it can be detected by medical instruments. Unfortunately, current medical practitioners merely laugh at this idea.
