Kapuso actress LJ Reyes, partner Paolo Contis and their children went on an out-of-town vacation recently and it turned out really well for Reyes who learned some things out of the getaway, particularly about handling fears.
LJ has earlier confessed to having bouts of stress, as per her Instagram page last Saturday, Nov. 7, where she shared with fans some photos of their staycation.
“The past months have been terribly stressful and scary. In my head it’s been a struggle to balance everything. Admittedly, I have always been on the fearful side,” she lamented. “But there have been times when we really had to be brave for the kids.”
What she clung to was her belief in the Almighty, to deal with her fears, believing that “God is in control of everything.”
“The fact that we are all well [in spite of and despite] varying circumstances proves His faithfulness and love toward us. And that at the end of the day, everything will work according to His plan,” she said. “Isa yata to sa pinakamemorable na out of town namin.” (I think this is one of our most memorable out-of-town trips.)
“We rented a private house big enough to accommodate Pao’s family. It was a first, but definitely not the last!” she added.
The trip was fulfilling for LJ who feels that every second spent with family bears a deeper experience and meaning.
“Didn’t have much photos and didn’t use phone that much! Surprisingly! Haha! That’s probably a sign how much we’ve really had fun!” Reyes added.
She also did not fail to thank Contis for making the trip possible.

“I know urong sulong ako (I hesitated) but you made it work so I can keep my sanity,” she commended him. “Now I’m recharged, but most [especially] my heart is oh so full.” JB
