Exclusive: We can't get enough of Kylie Verzosa, so here's more from our June digital cover interview | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

Our June digital cover story with Kylie Verzosa dropped last week, ICYMI. But since Kylie hardly has a blank moment to give, we got more than what we asked for.

When we served her with 12 quick-fire questions, she went beyond the surface. In her answers, we found another dimension to the actress and beauty queen.

What are your top beauty commandments?
Be yourself, feel beautiful, drink lots of water, and exercise. A lot of people forget to exercise!

What’s your exercise routine like?
This morning, I did a 45-minute yoga session on YouTube. It’s one thing that I will carry over after quarantine: my YouTube yoga sessions. It’s so much fun, and you can choose a routine that targets a part of your body you want to concentrate on.

Who are your favorite fitness YouTubers?
I love Yoga with Kassandra and Yoga with Adrienne. For my HIIT, I like Pamela Reif and MadFit.

If you could live in a TV show for a day, which would it be?
Honestly, I love rom-coms because it feels good. I would probably be like Lily in How I Met Your Mother.

What’s one thing wrong they always get about beauty queens?
That we’re intimidating and not relatable.

On relationships: “You should know what you want and stand your ground. You should learn how to say no, always save some for yourself. It’s okay to be a strong independent woman.” Photo by Andrea Beldua

Who is your favorite person?
It would probably be Jake or my best friend, Harry.

What do you do before going to bed?
I pray, and then I’m just thankful for the day. I envision where I want to be in the future. It’s also what I try to do every morning.

Who are your favorite vloggers?
I love Bretman Rock; he’s so funny. I also like Alex Gonzaga. She’s also funny, and we did a video once.

Best relationship advice you’ve received?
There’s a lot. You should know what you want and stand your ground. You should learn how to say no, always save some for yourself. It’s okay to be a strong independent woman.

What kind of student were you in school?
I was a nerd. I was in the science section my whole high school life. It was a lot of pressure because you have to keep your grades on a certain level or else you’ll get demoted to the regular sections, and I didn’t want that. So I would just go to school and go home straight. I would be the type who would be so nervous about entering a classroom without having done the assignment.

Describe Kylie in three words.
Oh my goodness, it’s so hard. I’ll say smart, loyal, hardworking.

What’s the best vlog you’ve done?
Because we haven’t gone out so much, many of my vlogs are just here at home. I think my Palawan trip vlog with Jake was fun, and I shot everything on an iPhone.

What are you looking forward to when it comes to vlogging?
I wish to be able to travel more. I wish I could collaborate with more friends. Vlogging is a lot of hard work, so I commend all the vloggers out there.
