Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Chynna Ortaleza is appreciating collaborations with other artists more and more while she also becomes more proficient in producing.

“This pandemic has taught me to further appreciate everyone who [has] collaborated with artists on [and] off set,” she said on Instagram earlier today, Aug. 11.

Ortaleza’s appreciation stems from the fact that pre-pandemic, she “used to just show up [and] do our thing.”

“Now we have to be multi faceted, multi-taskers and deliver on cam as if we have people who are off cam [and] monitoring everything for us,” she said.

“This again is an answered prayer as I have such a passion for doing the nitty gritty of mounting projects,” Ortaleza noted. “Mabilisan na course sa lahat ng aspeto ng production. Lupit mo Lord! Salamat.”

(A crash course on all aspects of production. You are the best, Lord! Thank You.)

Admittedly, Ortaleza did not finish college, but she noted that her parents once told her, “You can learn from the school of life. We’ll be cool about your college diploma. Just promise us that you’ll use that head that you were blessed with and prove to me that you can do it.”

Ortaleza, who currently works from home and an “all around woman,” recently commended fellow parents who are able to juggle the “demands ng (of the) work/home life.”

Ortaleza is the co-founder of record label OC Records along with her husband, Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano. They handle several artists, including Unique Salonga, Glaiza De Castro and Mimiyuuuh, among others. IB
