Call of Duty: Mobile is slowly becoming one of the biggest games available on mobile with over 100 million downloads on its massive launch week last year. Activision, the game’s mobile publisher, recently announced the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship with a million dollars in total prizes. The online qualifiers will kick off on Apr. 30 and will run every weekend until May 24.

Only players ranked at the veteran level or higher in multiplayer can sign up to join the tournament. However, hopeful players better start practicing because only those that earn 80 points in the first 10 ranked matches can individually qualify for Stage 2.

To even out the playing field, players are restricted from using a desktop emulator or external input devices that modify the game’s controls (e.g. Bluetooth controllers, wired controllers, mouse, keyboard, etc.). The administration will investigate and disqualify players who break these rules and cheat their way through the tournament. More details regarding the official rules, further stages and the grand prize of the World Championship will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans of the game finally have a tournament to look forward to after the announcement of the Call of Duty: Mobile – Garena Invitational, which was supposed to take place in Garena World 2020 in Thailand. This was planned as the game’s biggest tournament to date, with eight teams from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Taiwan but was canceled on Apr. 2 before further details were announced.
