This is something we never knew we wanted: Jacquemus has been named Nike’s latest female-focused collaborative partner, and is already poised to release a collection as early as next month, according to a release by Nike. This marks the first time the sportswear giant is set to release a collaborative capsule collection with the French designer label.
According to the report, Simon Porte Jacquemus, founder of his eponymous brand, took inspiration from the archives of Nike ACG, a subdivision of the sportswear label inspired by the outdoors and focused on gear that’s built for varying climates across the globe.
“It was important for the collection to be accessible for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance,” says Simon Porte Jacquemus in the report.
The collaboration will also revive an archival Nike silhouette, the Humara, which initially debuted in 1997.
The Jacquemus x Nike collaborative capsule collection will launch exclusively online at Jacquemus.com, and will arrive across Nike retailers as well as online at the start of summer 2022.
