DURING THE Holy Week, I went to the Pyramid of Asia in Manaoag, Pangasinan, together with my wife, Yoly, upon the invitation of internationally known Filipino spiritual healer and psychic surgeon, Alex Orbito, who asked me to give a talk about the Mayan Calendar prophecies and the forthcoming earth changes before his large group of foreign patients, supporters and disciples.

I was completely amazed at what I saw and experienced there. Orbito had more than 65 foreign guests from 15 different countries, mostly from Europe. Many of them were healers themselves—physiotherapists, pranic healers, yoga teachers, reflexologists, bone-setters.

In my brief stay, I met an American urologist, a Romanian artist, an American dance instructor living in Austria, a Russian doctor of medicine, a French healer who gave me an Ankh cross from Egypt, a Canadian teacher of Mongolian chants, a Swedish businessman, and even an Indian student of mine, among others.

A week of sharing

They were all gathered there for more than a week of learning, sharing of knowledge, experiencing psychic surgery, performing a healing mission in three different depressed communities, and even sleeping inside a dark but powerful cave in Mabini, Pangasinan.

Called the Heart and Healing Tour, the big international affair, according to Dagupan journalist, Melvin Alvior, was a brainchild of Dutch woman Marika Verheijen, an ardent supporter and tireless organizer of Alex Orbito’s healing missions in Europe.

This group of foreign healers, patients and visitors had the rare chance of witnessing and experiencing real living conditions of the average Filipinos, away from the glitter and noise of the Metropolis.

I have known Alex Orbito as a healer for more than 25 years now, and have even written a book about him entitled “Born to Heal,” which has been translated into many foreign languages. I have also personally witnessed his remarkable healing work in Switzerland, Germany and the United States.

He is today one of the most highly respected and internationally admired healers of the Philippines, although he is now based mainly in Europe. Shirley McClaine wrote about him in her third book, “Going Within.”

Although I had known Alex for more than two decades, I was completely unprepared for what I saw in the Pyramid of Asia last Holy week. Alex Orbito has metamorphosed from a healer of physical ailments to a real spiritual guru or teacher.

His lectures and seminars have attracted a wide spectrum of followers from all over the world. He has become a healer not only of the body, but also of the mind and the spirit. His very presence inspires people, just like spiritual gurus do. And this observation comes from people I talked with last week. And they were not ordinary people either. They were professionals, businessmen, scientists and even medical doctors.

Technique for healing

During one of his lectures last week, Alex taught his large group of foreign participants a simple but effective technique for healing themselves using visualization, affirmation, and positive suggestion, accompanied by deep breathing. I was surprised at his knowledge of the spiritual anatomy of man and the significance of seven centers or vortices of energy called chakras.

He taught participants how to heal 12 different internal and external organs of the human body, such as the heart, lungs, pancreas, left kidney, right kidney, ovary (or prostate), ears, crown chakra (or pineal gland), the third eye (or pituitary gland), the eyes, and the thyroid gland.

Alex announced that his next big project is to build a Pyramid of Light in Mabini, Pangasinan, near where his powerful cave is located. He said he saw this Pyramid of Light repeatedly in his dreams, which was shown to him by a lady in white.

After successfully building the only healing pyramid in Asia in Manaoag, he is now embarking on a bigger and more ambitious project of building a pyramid that will bring enlightenment to the world. He is being assisted in this formidable task by an international team of architects, engineers, scientists and businessmen who all believe in him and his project. The inauguration of this pyramid will be on November 11, 2011, coinciding with the opening of the intergalactic gate of the cosmic universe.
