The newly opened Loh Institute of Plastic Surgery (LIPS) Surgical Medical Suites in Quezon City provides free operation for children with facial deformities. Children usually get this procedure during medical missions in rural health units.
At the Loh Institute of Plastic Surgery, kids can undergo free operation in Timog Ave., Quezon City.
Dr. Laurence T. Loh has been one of the most dedicated and active volunteers for Operation Smile for 18 years. He has the same drive in putting up LIPS Surgical Medical Suites.
Loh is a successful practitioner of aesthetic and plastic surgery. He is a member of the prestigious Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, Inc. (Papras), serving as its national secretary.
LIPS Surgical Medical Suites will be composed of board-certified plastic surgeons, said Loh. “We only have a small number of plastic surgeons in the country; we are the group authorized to do aesthetic surgery procedures and reconstructive surgery procedures. In other countries where laws are stricter, such as Singapore, the US and in Europe, only plastic surgeons are authorized to do reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries.”
LIPS specializes in aesthetic procedures such as body contouring and facial surgery. Body contouring includes breast augmentation, lipo-sculpturing and fat grafting or transfer, while facial surgery includes upper and lower eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty.
LIPS recently had its formal opening with Miss Universe first runner-up Shamcey Supsup cutting the ribbon.
LIPS is at the 2/F, Castro Bldg., 58 Timog Ave., QC.
