Arthur Lo, the corporate liaison officer of the Jpark Island Resort and Waterfront Cebu, said the original plan was to hold the show at the resort’s Abalone Garden where two stages have been put up.
At least eight candidates of the Miss Universe pageant will join the Sinulog Grand Parade on Jan. 15 in Cebu. The candidates will ride on the float of Okada Manila, their official residence while they are in country, according to Ricky Ballesteros, the Sinulog executive director.
If there is something Miss Universe candidates love about Cebu, it is the mango. Five candidates expressed their love for Cebu mangoes during a news conference at the JPark Island Resort and Waterpark in Lapu-Lapu on Tuesday. Representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Myanmar said they enjoyed their lunch especially with Cebu’s sweet mangoes.
