Dulaang UP’s latest offering, “Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini,” is a one-act reimagining of the titular national hero’s final days in exile in Guam and his conditional return to Manila, with book and lyrics by Floy Quintos and original music by Krina Cayabyab.
The troika which is part of the hugely successful musical “Ang Nawalang Kapatid”— Floy Quintos, Dexter M. Santos, and Krina Cayabyab collaborate once more in a play celebrating the sublime paralytic’s 150th birth anniversary.
“Ang Huling Lagda ni Apolinario Mabini” is Krina Cayabyab’s first full-length musical, and she says the challenges are immense but surmountable.
