The Philippines ended 2013 with a fourth world beauty title. Cebuana beauty Angeli Dione Gomez was crowned Miss Tourism International, besting 59 other candidates in a pageant held in Putrajaya, outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on New Year’s Eve.
She almost thought of quitting her longtime romance with beauty pageants for good. But Rizzini Alexis Gomez, who bested 55 other international delegates in the 2012/2013 Miss Tourism International in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last Dec. 31, said her father inspired her to keep going.
