Roel Obemio is known for his voluminous figurations of storybook characters and, more recently, his appropriation of classic Old-World paintings in a style similar to Colombian painter Fernando Botero’s.
Roel Obemio shows the influences that affected his art-making in “Homage,” running at Gallery Francesca until Dec. 18.
Roel Obemio pays tribute to Gustav Klimt, Sandro Botticelli, Henri Rousseau, Leonardo Da Vinci and Diego Rivera in “Homage,” which will open on Dec. 7 at Galerie Francesca in Alabang.
