If you mistook these cakes for stuffed animals, you wouldn’t be the first.

They are actually chiffon cakes, made perfectly by Singaporean Susanne Ng.

Ng is a stay-at-home mom with a biomedical research background. She only started baking after befriending other mothers, and found out that she had a knack for it.

She explored making these classic cakes more creative, and ended up with the following creations:

What makes these cakes even better is that you won’t feel guilty after eating them. Ng lessened the amount of sugar and flour to make the cakes lighter, and healthier ingredients like canola oil and natural flavors make up the cakes.

She also published the books titled “Creative Baking: Chiffon Cakes” and “Creative Baking: Deco Chiffon Cakes”. Meanwhile, she shares recipes on the blog Loving Creations for You.

Ng runs the site with fellow mom Phay Shing Tan who used to do engineering research. After doing chiffon cakes, Tan explored making other creative pastries such as macarons, cookies, and mooncakes.

These are some of her creations:

Tan also has a book available called “Creative Baking: Macarons”. JB
