Healthy drink choices for kids and adults–but of course, ‘palanggas’! | Lifestyle.INQ

OCTOBER 27, 2022

As the saying goes, health is wealth! And, darlings, no truer words have been said. It’s welcome news to hear that Magnolia Healthy Beverages has launched Healthy Drink Choices, an advocacy program in partnership with the Department of Education and Marylindbert International, palanggas. The program seeks to educate adults and students alike on the goodness and benefits of making healthy drink choices.

Education Undersecretary Yolanda Quijano graced the launch, along with with Magnolia Healthy Beverages executives led by president Bernard Marquez, VP and marketing manager Nelson Elises, business manager Jun Medrano, sales manager Manny Factor and group product manager Cecille Caling.

“There are advocacies and programs on healthy food choices,” Marquez said. “It’s natural that we advocate healthy drink choices, such as juices and teas rich in nutrients and minerals essential for growing kids and even adults, since drink is as important as food. We should always remember unhealthy drinks may lead to childhood obesity and dental problems, and may slow down not only children but also adults, mentally and physically. We are extremely blessed as our country has an abundance and variety of fruits that can easily be made into juices.”

The advocacy kicks off in selected schools and communities nationwide, dahlings. “To make learning a joyful experience, we have placed a lot of creative time and effort in producing engaging activity books to be given away free, and interactive modules that the grade schoolers will find both interesting and challenging,” added Elises. “It’s a continuing commitment with the Department of Education, and our way of giving back to our patrons, to the community.”

Quijano congratulated Magnolia Healthy Beverages for spearheading a program as generous and timely as this.

Well, palanggas, let’s start them young! You can’t go wrong when you choose healthy drink choices, ’di bala?
