Following her unexpected victory in “Asia’s Next Top Model” cycle 5 on Wednesday, Philippine bet Maureen Wroblewitz instantly snagged her debut magazine cover.
On the same day Wroblewitz won, Nylon Singapore unveiled its July issue featuring the 19-year-old German-Filipina model, who trounced Malaysia’s Shikin Gomez and Vietnam’s Minh Tu Nguyen during the model’s search’s finale aired on Wednesday. The youngest and shortest contestant yet, Wroblewitz ended the country’s longtime drought on “Asia’s Next Top Model.”
“When I look at a model, when I look at a girl, I need to think, ‘If I put her face on the cover, is she going to sell my magazine?’ And I think in your case, yes,” Nylon Singapore editor-in-chief Adele Chan told Wroblewitz.
Aside from her cover spread, Wroblewitz won a brand-new Subaru Impreza and a contract with London-based agency Storm Model Management. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
