Staying at home has given us time to explore various hobbies and new passions. My friends got into baking; I only got into the eating. Kidding aside, I can say that I got into taking care of plants. Wonderplants is a venture by two friends. They’re particularly fond of these beautiful greens used to liven up their homes. Their mutual contacts then started asking where they got their plants. After a few more inquires, an Instagram account and a budding business were born.

I like the versatility of the plants they have available. A Hawaiian palm plant can be both placed indoors and outdoors. A Yucca is a perfect house plant as it’s relatively low-maintenance. Give it some light and avoid over-watering it. It’s also the type that grows into a huge plant repeatedly and can give the room some character.

They also have other varieties such as the Phoenix Palm, Bizmarkia, Oliva Palms, and Palmeras. It’s just a matter of finding something that fits your personality and space.

You can also get from Wonderplants their signature hemp baskets. These are hand weaved by our local artisans using the most premium Manila hemp. Lined with steel frames, they are hardwearing and can carry a lot of weight. They complete the tropical look of your chosen plant.

Why are plants are so popular over our lives indoors? I guess it’s because they teach us to slow down and the value of taking your time when it comes to growth.
