Call it the better parts of convergence culture at work. Harlem-based rapper, father to Rihanna’s firstborn, and one of the most popular names in fashion and music A$AP Rocky has teased a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. Images of the collection have both been seen on street photos of the rapper followed by Instagram posts by the rapper, Mercedes-Benz, and creative collective AWGE, of which Rocky is a member.

The collection features several takes on logomania, ranging from sweats and hoodies to even a camping chair. The campaign imagery doubles down on the gloss: a Mercedes-Benz F 200 Imagination in mint-chocolate green emblazoned with a custom “AWGE” plate on the back is featured prominently with Rocky and other items from the collection.
Given the artist and automaker’s history, the collaboration isn’t all that unlikely; A$AP Rocky was heavily featured in a Mercedes-Benz campaign that delved into his coming of age story. In the same vein, the upcoming collection also draws from the style of Rocky’s hometown of Harlem while referencing the automobile’s brand in New York hiphop.
There aren’t details yet on when the collaborative capsule is going to launch, but we’re anticipating it’s launching very soon.
